Material Testing

Why Should I Test Material?

Sending material into the factory insures the correct machine is being purchased.  This means there will be no wasted time, and the machine will be a pleasure to use.  When the proper machine is chosen at the start of your project many headaches can be eliminated and your time and money is put to its best use.

What machines require testing?

Fortunately, Martin Yale Technicians can handle many recommendations over the phone.  The following list of machines are never recommended over the phone, even if the same machine was being used prior.

1.     Bursting machines
2.     912 Cut-Sheet Checksigner
3.     Business Card Slitters
4.     Heavy folding applications (card stocks)

How should material be sent in?

A 1" stack of potential material should be provided.  The material should be in the same state it's to be ran through the machine.  A written description of the application and volume, as well as any environmental variables should be included.
